Travels and new connections

“Travel is all about building new relationships and sometimes we have to think outside the box to connect with new cultures and communities.”

Seatrade Cruise Global’s Professional Women in Cruise lunch will allow you to do just that!

This year’s discussion will focus on boutique cruises and all the creative ways cruise lines and destinations create experiences that allow travelers to escape the masses and enjoy intimate travel experiences with tailored shore excursions. Whether you’re cruising the Mississippi, touring the Galapagos, seeing the pyramids along the Nile, or cruising from Budapest to Bucharest, everyone can learn something from these curated experiences to create more memorable travel moments.

Sit back and relax as the inspiring panel discusses the opportunities and challenges of being “outside the box” and explore how these experiences can be tailored to your organization. Not to mention, of course, that you can use this lunch special as always to network with the best and brightest in the cruise industry!

The PWiC lunch is in partnership with WISTA (Women’s International Association for Shipping and Commerce). A fantastic international networking organization whose mission is to attract and support women, at management level, in the maritime, commercial and logistics sectors.

Proceeds from PWiC ticket sales are donated to Seatrade Cruise’s fantastic sustainability partner Ships of Mercywho provide humanitarian assistance through surgical care, medical training and infrastructure development to the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Anna Silva, co-president of Florida Chapter WISTA says, “Happy 10th Anniversary from Professional Women in Cruise! Although I have only been involved for 6 years this is the highlight of Seatrade for me and a labor of love. Every year we try to give the public something new, fun and challenging. Topics may change, but my goal is to always have the audience leave after connecting with others in the room. You never know when you are going to ask/be asked for a contact outside of your area of expertise and I think PWiC is a fantastic way to build that network.

Ten years of PWiC

Liz Gammon, Seatrade Cruise Expedition Cruise Ambassador formed the PWiC Group in 2012 »The Professional Women in Cruise Group was created following a Seatrade event in Hamburg, when I suddenly realized that most of the cruise executives and decision makers I had met on the show were women! A group of about 20 women was formed soon after to host a networking breakfast at Seatrade events – the focus then was on networking and celebrating the United States as women. professionals in the cruise industry and it has gone from strength to strength ever since! ”
