Go Inside Arendelle: A Frozen Culinary Adventure on Disney’s New Cruise Ship!
The AllEars team has just returned from the Disney Wish christening cruise!
We’ve already shared plenty of details about what to expect on Disney’s new cruise ship and what you’ll be able to find on board, like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Shop, as well as onboard entertainment offerings like The little Mermaid spectacle! We were also able to experience incredtruly unique dining experiences on the cruise ship – one Marvel-themed and one after Frozen. Now we head to Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure to let you know our thoughts on the experience!
Location, hours and reservations
Arendelle: A. Frozen Gastronomic adventure is one of three rotating dining experiences aboard Disney Wish. This means that you and your personal wait staff will alternate between the three restaurants during your cruise.

There are two seats for dinner each evening, one at 5:45 p.m. (called the main seat) and one at 8:15 p.m. (called the second seat).

You can choose your seat time when you book your cruise and all of your seat information, including time, restaurant hours and table number, is available in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Atmosphere & Decor
This dining experience is a celebration of Kristoff and Queen Anna’s engagement. The dinner show resumes just after the end of Frozen 2. It’s supported by the Hearty Party Planning Service… and Sauna of Wandering Oaken and includes live entertainment and movie song performances.

The restaurant is located with a stage in the middle of the room and dining tables surrounding it so everyone has a good view.

There are invisible fiber optics embedded in the ceiling to help bring the show to life and the windows surrounding the restaurant transform from real-time ocean views to images of the Northern Lights.
Menu
The menu is made up of Norwegian-inspired options with seafood, game and other Nordic dishes to try. Appetizers we tried included this White and green asparagus in blushing oak with pea tendrils, heirloom tomatoes, radishes and dill.

And the Jarlsburg cheese and rosemary ham tart with Pomme Gala and Compote de Poire Williams.

We also went for Elsa’s Baked Royal Scallops, with tarragon shrimp bisque, rainbow carrots, leeks and puff pastry.

And we had to taste Sven’s favorite carrot soup!

Moving on to main courses, we ordered the Beef rib steak roasted with garlic and thyme, which comes with baked potatoes, buttered broccoli, honey roasted carrots and cabernet juice.

And we ordered the Seared Chili Sea Bass which is served with white asparagus, baby leeks, Savoy spinach, Romanesco, green peas, kohlrabi, rainbow carrots, seared scallop, pea tendrils and Mjod vinaigrette. Our team highly recommends this starter!

We also tried the Spicy Roasted Chicken Breast with Juniper, served with green onions, hash browns with duck confit and ragout of wild tarragon mushrooms. It tasted like “pine scented air freshener” which we don’t appreciate – maybe an acquired taste?

This King Agnarr Dry Rubbed Roast Pork Tenderloin was divisive – one of our team thought it was spicy, while another was not at all. If you’re sensitive to hot food you might want to skip it, but otherwise we enjoyed it!

Let’s move on to what many think is the best part: the dessert!

We ordered the Kvaefjordkake, which is a butter cake with baked almond meringue, vanilla cream and berry compote.

And the Eplekake — apple cake with caramel sauce, vanilla bean ice cream and Florentine almond crunch.
Globally
We loved the way the dining room was laid out in a circle – everyone has a great place for entertainment. We found some things, namely the carrot soup and the ham pie, a little bland, but overall we enjoyed our dishes. We found most of the meat served at a cooler temperature than we would prefer – not an uncommon occurrence in a cruise dining environment.

Arendelle has flavors that some guests may find unfamiliar – we encourage you to branch out and try what sounds good! Be aware that if you’re not feeling adventurous, you’ll find more traditional dishes — like sirloin steak and baked potato, or baked salmon — on the “Lighter Side” menu.
