Regent Seven Seas recently announced the inaugural season of its new ultra-luxury vessel, Greatness of the seven seas, and released some head-turning details about the new ship’s lavish suites and bold contemporary design.

The intimate, 750 passengers Greatness of the Seven Seas will be the sixth ship in the Regent fleet. Scheduled to set sail in November 2023, she promises to be the line’s most opulent ship to date, built at a staggering cost of $ 450 million.

This significant investment is a testament to confidence in a return for the cruise industry, which has been hit hard by the pandemic. “The addition of a sixth member to the world’s most luxurious fleet demonstrates the high demand for luxury cruising experiences, as does our record-breaking four days of launch in a 12-month period,” said Jason Montague, President and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “Now, with our return to the oceans, we believe the future holds great promise for Regent travelers and luxury travelers.”

The magnificent Regent Suite

The ambience and layout of the 4,443-square-foot, $ 11,000-per-night Regent Suite is more reminiscent of a graceful Park Avenue apartment than a cabin on a cruise ship.

Designed by award-winning studio DADO, this upscale suite offers a separate dining room, living room with sitting area, two bedrooms (master and guests) and three walk-in closets.

Every aspect of its decor combines noble materials and craftsmanship, from museum quality art to exclusive furniture and textiles. For example, the $ 200,000 bespoke Swedish Hästens mattress that promises “perfect sleep”.

“We really envisioned the space as a gallery where every piece of furniture, every finishing material, every piece of art has been carefully curated to make the space very inviting and welcoming,” said DADO lead designer June Cuadra. .

Nine different types of marble were purchased for the master bathroom only, which includes an in-suite spa with a steam room and personal care area. A circular glass shower in the shape of a jewelry box dominates the center of the space with a marble tub offering ocean views.

The wrap-around balcony, one of the largest at sea, will offer stunning views of the ocean and the changing landscape as it gets closer to shore. Right next to the sophisticated living space, guests can relax on lounge chairs in a glass-enclosed ‘Salon’ with a glass roof, whatever the weather, day or night.
